Wordpress Email Capture Plugin | Popup Domination Review

By Jesus Perez | Published July 19th, 2010

This Saturday morning I received an email from Michael Dunlop.

He finished testing a Wordpress Plugin that collects visitor emails with a smooth (lightbox) popup.

As usual, I was hesitant. I replied about how “careful” I was and insisted on being able to test it first.

He supplied me a review copy and by noon on Saturday morning, I setup an optin form to collect emails.

Within 24 hours, I collected emails on 14% of my website visitors.

14 Friggin’ Percent!

Let me explain that concept a bit more…

Let’s say I get 100 visitors a day.
3 buy my product…97 leave and never return.
These 97 people will never see my site again.

But…if I manage to collect an email from 14 of those 100…
I can now potentially convert them into buyers with subsequent emails that explain the product a bit more.

This means I earn more money…and so do you as an affiliate.

About the plugin itself…

It’s the easiest Wordpress Popup Plugin I’ve ever used.

I was using Action Popup for a while…but it takes too long to setup.
You actually need to know how to design an HTML template to use Action Popup.
It is NOT plug and play.

Michael’s “Popup Domination” plugin is Plug and Play. No HTML knowledge is required.

Here’s how Popup Domination Works:

  • Pick a template (and colors)
  • Paste in your autoresponder code (works with Aweber, GetResponse, iContact, Constant Contact or Mailchimp)
  • Add a product image
  • Write a headline and bullets
  • And….”Activate”.
  • You can even select how many seconds it takes to load the plugin.

I managed to get mine up and running within 5 minutes (seriously).

I’m really picky with recommendations…but I highly recommend this plugin. You’ll start building your mailing list asap on any Wordpress blog. Ofcourse, the more people you get on your list, the more money you will make because you can promote more things and send more readers back to your site.

I’m not going to tell you this offer will “magically” disappear. It won’t.

But you know what? Your visitors are “magically” disappearing as I type. Stop the disappearing act and start collecting those emails asap. You’ll thank me later.

YourMember Review: A Wordpress Membership Plugin

By Jesus Perez | Published March 16th, 2010
Update: As of June 20th, 2010, I no longer recommend YourMember. Wishlist excels in features and it integrates with many popular Autoresponders out of the box. I’m leaving my original review in place for search engine purposes. However, I strongly urge you to check out Wishlist.

Lately I’ve had my eye on Wordpress in order to fulfill my needs for a membership website. I originally wanted a Joomla Membership site plugin but couldn’t find any decent ones that didn’t involve messing around with ridiculous amounts of code. After all my searches, I kept coming back to YourMember by Cambridge New Media Services. This is my review after installing it on a client’s website.

The Undeniable Truth About Google ‘Slaps’ and How to Avoid Them

By Jesus Perez | Published March 16th, 2010

Google Slap!
See the screenshot above? It’s from one of my best performing sites. It’s a .com that appears in the Google Top 3 for it’s keyword. This site brings in between $200-$400 a month without being touched. It relies completely on reposted RSS content that has been obtained with permission. The site went from 300-400 uniques per day to 15-40. Earnings have been slashed and I’m lucky if it brings in $80 this month. Luckily, this site is peanuts to me and doesn’t represent much income in the long run. It’s just there to pay for a few extras.

Nanacast Review

By Jesus Perez | Published March 16th, 2010

I’ve recently had to make the shift from DLGuard to something more robust. Specifically, I needed One-Time Offers (Upsells and Downsells). My choices were grim. I could pick from 1ShoppingCart’s limited solution, InfusionSoft’s limited-and-expensive solution, Ultracart (which is really an ecommerce cart) or Butterfly Marketing (support is non-existent).

I chose Nanacast. Never heard of them, eh? Well, their features and benefits will blow you away. Check out my nanacast review.  http://www.nanacastreview.com/
