Where Did The Name “Blue Squares” Come From?
In November 2006, my beautiful wife slowly rose out of bed. A few days before, she had courageously delivered my son in an operation that lasted over 2 hours. An operation that nearly took her life. Today, it was time for her to start healing and begin walking.
We knew she needed to walk to begin healing; so in a tight embrace, we inched our way around the maternity ward step by painful step. At the end of every hallway, in a quite corner, we would stop on a single blue square on the ground for a hug and kiss.
BlueSquares is above all, a tribute to the love, beauty and strength of my wife, Lisa and the precious son she gave me that day.
